Miguel Rangel was born and raised in Laredo. He graduated from JW Nixon High School, earned a degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin, and later completed a Master’s in Business Administration and Information Technology at TAMIU.
He is guided by a belief in showing up for others with honesty, empathy, and courage. By sharing the 988 You Are Not Alone, Suicide & Crisis Lifeline information, he works to ensure that no one feels they must face their struggles alone. He encourages people to reach out, stay connected, and remember that help is always within reach. His commitment to spreading hope reflects the care and strength he brings to his family, his friends, his acquaintances, and the broader community. His remarkable efforts, along with a friendly smile, continue to positively influence our community and beyond.
Miguel’s dedication to service is rooted in his faith and in the love of his family—his wife and their child—who inspire him to give back to Laredo and Webb County. To him, Laredo is love.
