Head Band Director - Martin High School
Mr. Bobby Castro will be starting his 12th year as Head Band Director at Raymond and Tirza Martin High School and a proud 1981 graduate of the same school. Castro has an All Level Music Degree and a Master’s Degree in Music Education from formally Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Texas. He is fully Certified in both Kodaly and Orff Methodologies. Aside from band he also teaches Music Theory, Color Guard and is Associate Director of the Mariachi Tigeres Del Sur Ensemble at Martin High School.
Castro has taught at United Day School, St. Augustine Elementray School and Mary Help of Christians School. He was also an Assistant Band Director at J.B. Alexander HS and Dr. Leo G. Cigarroa HS. He recently presented at the National Kodaly Association Conference in Jacksonville, Florida.
