Updates - Rotary

John Kilburn was born and raised in New Orleans. Louisiana.  After getting his Ph.D. in Sociology, he took on a series of academic jobs and landed in Laredo in January of 2005, where he served at TAMIU in a series of positions, including Chief Research Officer.  He and his wife, Judith (also a Rotarian), have had lifelong commitments to community service through various organizations, and he has served on numerous nonprofit organization boards. He currently serves as President of the Webb County Heritage Foundation. In August of 2014, John joined Rotary when he discovered that this organization allowed him to maximize his impact of service and have a lot of fun along the way.  He is a Paul Harris Fellow +4 and a member of the Paul Harris Society.  And this year, he agreed to serve as Assistant District Governor for Area 12.
